On the first floor of the factory our main venue, bar and restaurant – Hermetikken – serves you with a scenic view towards Vestfjorden and the Lofoten Wall through big sea side windows overlooking the ever changing weather and seasons.

The name of the space originates from back in the day when the first floor of the factory served as a schrimp peeling facility and production site for canned food from Lofoten (roe and whale). The Norwegian word Hermetikken means cannery.

These days Hermetikken is a meeting point for both locals and visitors coming to eat dinner or brunch, hang out, attend concerts, movie nights, clubs and more. The space is the heart of all activity at Trevarefabrikken and is directly connected to the backyard, the café, the hotel reception, the parking lot and the kitchen, making us able to cater to both bigger and smaller crowds.

At 300 m², Hermetikken is our biggest indoor venue space. Large windows facing towards the Vestfjord keeps the light flowing through, and when restoring it we focused on keeping the industrial feel through exposed concrete and an open space. It’s flexible and can be used for a wide range of events. We can adapt the room to host weddings, conferences, concerts, private dinners, big meetings and more.
